Fighting Biting And Chewing
My dog is always fighting with other dogs, why? One reason is you may have something to do with it, if you are pulling on his leash when you walk him,let go of the leash. Don't pull on the leash and you will see that the dogs get along much better. Also try talking in a friendly voice when you and your dog meet someone.
My dog runs away and attacks other dogs, why?Your dog probably does not know what is expected of him and he is possibly taking his frustrations out on other dogs. Or your dog may have a fear of being attacked and wants to get the first good bite?
Do dogs attack people?Only if they feel threatened,or if you harasses them, some people like it when their dog attacks people.dogs will only attack a child if they feel threatened,or if they are pulling or poking the dog,use supervision when dogs are around kids. Some dogs may attack if they have been traumatized or if they are hurt and you try to pick them up,they don't know that you want to help
Do dogs attack cats? No, not when properly trained most dogs and cats get along very good together Only when owners don't take the time to properly introduce cats to dogs,it should be done slowly and gradually with little movement
Why do dogs bite?Dogs only bite out of fear, frustration, threats and by not being properly trained also some dogs can bite you while playing but it is not intentional, dogs can bite lightly when over excited. Dogs naturally bite each other when they are playing but it is nothing to be alarmed about unless one or both are snarling at each other
Why do dogs chew?It is natural for dogs to chew ,it's what dogs do, most puppies will chew on soft flesh because nothing feels better to their small growing teeth,, a good way to still let your puppy or dog chew on your hand is to put a thick work glove on. Dogs love to chew on bones too. Most chewing is from being bored,so if you can play with your dog for long periods of time you will find that your dog hardly ever chews on things.
